Flowers for your Wedding
Flowers are a very important part of any wedding and can be as complex or simple as the bride wishes. You can create a colour theme to match the wedding d?cor, or choose traditional white flowers. Or you can take the approach of choosing flowers that have special meaning or memory to you and your groom.
Here are some of the more conventional meanings of flowers, which are readily available in Thailand:
Rose
Pink symbolises Friendship, while white represents purity and red is for passionate love.
Lily
Lillies represent celebration and commonly come in white, pink or yellow
Orchid
This very traditional Thai flower represents delicate beauty, very appropriate for wedding bouquets, especially if you would like to create the cascade effect. The flower can be selected in many colours, including purple, blue, yellow and some two tone colours, such as red and yellow, white and purple …
Jasmine
A very abundant flower in Thailand and is used daily as a refreshing scent in cars and homes. It is also a flower used to make garlands and leis for gifts. The flower represents grace and elegance.
Sunflower
Not a common choice of flowers for weddings, however it does represent adoration. They add a happy colour to wedding decorations. It is not readily available all the time, so orders of at least two weeks may be necessary.
Anthurium
The heart shaped leaf, this flower comes in bright red, pink or white.
